How to Help

There are a number of rewarding ways you can choose to be involved with Intersect to support our community and youth.

Donations

We gratefully accept donations towards both specific groups or programs or to Intersect as a whole. We rely on you, the community that surrounds us, to pursue our passion for helping children, youth and their families.

The help we’ve received from you, and the help we’ve been able to give because of that, builds our community, creating stronger ties and a tighter-knit community. We’re are happy to be part of a cycle of paying it forward to make a safer, happier world to live in, starting here, at home. All donations will be recognized with a receipt for Income Tax Purposes.

Join the Board

These wonderful volunteers oversee the operations of the Society and set our policies. Elected for three year terms by the society’s voting members, the directors come from a cross-section of our community, with a variety of experiences and expertise – we welcome anyone with a passion for putting out a helping hand.

Each Board member commits to monthly meetings over a three-year term, and also sits on at least one of the following committees:

  • Executive/Finance Committee
Is responsible for budgeting and ensuring fiscal accountability
  • Human Resources Committee
Deals with personnel issues, staffing, wages, benefits, etc.
  • Constitution, Bylaws & Policy Committee
Is responsible for the considering and reporting on proposed changes to our Constitution and Bylaws.
